Red Rocket Couriers Helps Bring The Gruffalo to Children Across Greater Manchester Hospitals

Delivering More Than Parcels

At Red Rocket Couriers, we believe some deliveries are far more important than the contents inside the box.

For the fourth consecutive year, we were proud to partner with The Lowry, Tall Stories and Read for Good to help bring live theatre to children receiving treatment in hospitals across Greater Manchester.


Whilst thousands of families could enjoy The Gruffalo at The Lowry, many children simply couldn't leave their hospital wards. Together, we helped make sure they didn't have to miss out.



A Special Delivery Across Manchester

Our team collected and delivered activity packs, Gruffalo merchandise, promotional materials and theatre resources to four children's hospital sites across Greater Manchester, including:


  • Royal Manchester Children's Hospital

  • Wythenshawe Hospital

  • North Manchester General Hospital

  • Trafford General Hospital


Every delivery was completed free of charge as part of our commitment to supporting local communities.

Seeing the excitement from the hospital teams when the deliveries arrived reminded us exactly why we love what we do.


Helping Create Moments That Matter

Hospitals do an incredible job caring for children every day. If a courier service can play even a small part in creating smiles, distracting children from treatment and helping families make positive memories during difficult times, then it's something we're always happy to support.



Alongside the deliveries, our Director Lee Gueller even managed to get hold of a miniature Gruffalo companion for the journey, which quickly became the unofficial mascot of the day.


Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference.

The team at The Lowry continue to create amazing opportunities for children who otherwise wouldn't have the chance to experience live theatre. Tall Stories once again brought one of the UK's most loved children's books to life, while Read for Good continue their fantastic work improving the wellbeing of children in hospitals through storytelling and reading.


Finally, thank you to every member of staff across the hospitals who welcomed us during the deliveries and work tirelessly for children and their families every single day.
