For the fourth consecutive year, Red Rocket Couriers has proudly supported The Lowry’s incredible initiative to spread joy to children in hospitals across Greater Manchester. What began as a single collection at The Lowry Theatre turned into a heartwarming day of deliveries that reminded us what our service is truly about connection, care and community.

Our journey started at the Lowry Theatre, where our team loaded up boxes filled with golden tickets, plush Smeds and Smoos and colourful activity packs. From there, we set out on our route to deliver a little happiness to young patients across the region.

First stop: Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, where the excitement was already building for the upcoming livestream of The Smeds and The Smoos.

Second stop: Starlight Children’s Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital, where staff welcomed us with smiles and gratitude.

Third stop: Manchester Children’s Hospital, another hub of creativity and care, where these parcels will brighten hospital rooms for children unable to attend the show in person.

Final stop: North Manchester Hospital’s Children’s Ward, where our last boxes of the day were received with warmth and appreciation.
These special deliveries ensure that children spending time in hospital can still experience the wonder of the theatre from their beds complete with soft toys, creative activities and a golden ticket to join the fun.
For us, it’s more than just transport. It’s about using our wheels to deliver moments that matter.
We’re proud to give back and to partner once again with The Lowry, whose ongoing efforts to bring art and joy to children’s hospitals remind us why community partnerships are so important.
Here’s to another year of making a difference. One box, one smile, and one delivery at a time. 💙🧡💜
